There are a few very important things to consider

There are plenty of other things that need to be considered when building a computer such as operating system, airflow, and RAM.

  1. The First step to building is inserting the processor into the motherboard, most processors have an indicator on them that corresponds to a similar mark on the motherboard identifying which way it is supposed to be oriented.
  2. The second thing would be installing the CPU cooler, they will screw into the motherboard backplate with the 4 included screws.
  3. The third thing to set in would be the RAM, if you have two DIMMs of RAM (which is the most common way to purchase RAM) they belong in the second and fourth slot from the processor.
  4. The next thing to do is set and screw the motherboard into the case
  5. Next would be the graphics cards (if applicable). The graphics card will go into the long PCIe slot directly below the CPU.
  6. Following the graphics card would be screwing the power supply to the case and routing the cables to their corresponding slots
(cables are labeled on the power supply and the motherboard manual has the slots labeled)
  7. The next step is installing fans, most of the time, one exhaust fan (fan pulling air out of the case) at the back is enough to keep air flowing and cool, with the rest of the fans mounted in any other open spaces.
  8. Connecting the front IO cables would usually be the next step, sometimes the pins are labeled on the motherboard, but there is always a digram in the manual.
  9. Lastly would be cable management and plugging the computer into the wall (for the building process anyway) and after that all thats left is to power it on and install the operating system (assuming everything is connected correctly)
